Vince McMahon's Role in WWE's New CEO
Vince McMahon is staying on as executive chairman of the board at the behest of Emmanuel himself. The wildcard throughout the bidding process was what role, if any, WWE founder McMahon would play after a sexual misconduct scandal and investigation revealed he paid four women $12 million in hush money. He did leave the company for nearly six months before returning to help lead a potential transaction. Most had assumed McMahon would leave altogether if a deal happened.
