Sam Harris's 'Waking Up' Lectures Are Like a Journey of the Early Ones
I had always been suspicious of organized religion, didn't understand its role in. myself or in people in general and just thought it was a regressive affectation that would out evolve as we out tribalize. Sam Harris's book waking up cracked that for me. His lectures are like, you know, like a journey of the early ones. Some of his former students talked about his lectures as being like a psychedelic experience. Even some of his sort of strongest critics at the University of Toronto said they were life changing.
