Chat GPT
The Chinese government has been quietly asking companies including WeChat, Alibaba basically anybody providing digital services in China. At first I thought they were just being very cautious about the potential risks of chat GPT. But then it was pointed out to me there's a very simple reason. Do you know what it is? No go. If you ask chat GPT what happened in Tiananmen Square in 1989 it will tell you and that's not permitted. The specific complaint was that questions put to chat GPT were quote consistent with the political propaganda of the US government. It'd be like asking us to use services created by Russia or created by China. There's no change in this moving forward.
