Can You Predict the Function of Natural Proteins?

For right now, our focus has been on naturally occurring proteins. We want to take our neural network and see if we can predict the function of these other naturally occurring proteins that are not human anotated. For about a third,. it is hard to really put your finger on that number exactly, for about a third, you really don't know what they do. That coupled with the knowledge that naturally occurring proteins produce a lot of very value things, things like penisillon, leads you to believe that there is tremendous value in solving this problem.
