The Importance of Understanding Technology
Heidegger sees technology as resources that can be rearranged, reassembled in any way to discover what we discover in terms of concrete technology. Less technology is now so dominant that it breaks down all forms, all independence, all ordinary life and activity. Everything is merely something which can be readjusted to bring about whatever you want. The scientific concreteness of technology is just one version of that but not what's fundamental in it. So that's part of human flattening and ultimately in a certain sense the end of human beings.
