Elizabeth Van Luu, 81, Died on September 25, 1900
After the war, Elizabeth had contacted the government asking for all of her files that they had on her about her activities during the war and her contributions. Her niece did find that paperwork and handed it over to a gentleman who knew Elizabeth when she was older and kind of cranky and with a very thin filter. So he assumed that that's how she acted when she was younger. And that's when the crazy bet label seems to have been developed.
