The Challenges of Instructional Coaching

Josh: As soon as I found an experience, the benefits of coaching for myself, you wanted to share them and help other teachers have similar experiences. So maybe you can take us back to that point of your career. What were the some of the barriers you faced and what were some of the things you did to try to overcome them? Josh: Sure. Like at that time, I didn't know about instructional coaching. I hadn't read any research. After four years at that school, I went off to teach international school in Thailand. And through that, I found out about the work of a guy called Paul Bamberg Santoyo,. who has this particular model of instructional coaching.
