Andrew almer, the new author of our bartleby column on work and management has been looking at one way to insure all that time is put to better use. He suggests running meetings as if they were juries. There are a few characteristics for the jury system and jury deliberations that are worth thinking about. More people than 12 adds voices, but not necessarily value. And fewer people reduces diversity of view.
