The Trail of King Charles the Tenth

King charles the first of england, scotland and ireland dismissed parliament in 16 29 and refused to recall them. Now here in france, almost exactly 200 years later, king charles the tenth was ready to do the same thing over many of the same issues. The two men shared a few similarities: They were both younger royal sons who had not been raised to expect to wear the crown themselves. And they suffered from a lack of healthy self confidence, which led them to hide their fragile egoes behind the absolute majesty of the crown.
