If a patient has persistent symptoms after say just a prescription of amoxicillin, what's kind of going on? Well, let's see if we can not get that far. I think 10 days is a long time in the life of a 18 month old kid that's not sleeping and everybody else that's living in that household. People get better within a range at their own pace, but they shouldn't be going backwards after they start to get better. If you have an infection that doesn't need something like abscess drainage, hopefully you've made that decision before you put the patient just on antibiotics.
