In the UK 46% of crime is fraud, but only 1% of law enforcement is dedicated to it. The National Fraud Intelligence Bureau received around 900,000 fraud reports for cyber crime in 2020 to 2021. Of these just 8% or 72,000 about were disseminated to law enforcement for investigation. In 2021, just 40, 4500, just under 4500 fraud cases made it to court. If that 900,000 is for two years and one year they put in less than 4500, that means you have a 99% chance of getting away with fraud in the UK if your case is reported,. which it probably won't be.
