Plato's Determinism of the State

Hobbes is very clear in his determinism that we are all, in a sense, microcosms of what the state is. For Plato, some people genuinely have souls which are attuned towards reason while others have souls more toward passion and desire. And you can also see the sharp contrast in the way that Plato thinks about the forms.
