Do you think there is something to be said about using university as a socially acceptable place to explore yourself instead of just jumping into the adult world without university? Lots of things to unpack. Is it socially acceptable? Of course it is. Is it needed? No. What is adult world? Because most people at university incur debt. Do you need the debt? No. Most of the opportunities I have gained are nothing to do with my university. It's not as common for people to finish a university degree and then go into the profession. Only one person in my entire cohort that's actually stayed inside of sports coaching. There were seven people three weeks after graduation that were working in retail,

He hosts a podcast called The Personal Knowledge Management Podcast, where he discusses topics in the field of PKM, like overcoming perfectionism, assessing note quality, extended mind theory, and more. To help him with all his research and creation, he uses Notion for collaborative efforts and Obsidian for personal notetaking.

We talked about how to navigate academic research, the problems with academia, how knowledge is built over time, and the issues in traditional University education. This conversation really made me question the way I teach and learn things. Talking to Danny is profound because he questions you when you say something that conflicts with itself. He made me realize just how much creating a shared definition of certain labels is critical to having a productive conversation. I don't think I will ever come to conversations the same.
