The Seven Mega Cap Stocks Have Driven Everything
Markets have been propelled, so 38% year to date on the NASDAQ and about just under 15 on the S&P 500. I think now we're into a real mania phase, quite frankly, because there's nothing economically fundamental or interest rates fundamental that was not reasonably foreseeable over the last few months. These companies' profits are actually lower in fiscal 23 than they are in 22 as a group, and they're not all growing at the same rate. My fear is these things are really quite overcooked. It's a bit of a mania.
