How to Do a Whole Class in an English Classroom?
i would say my biggest piece of advice is just to experiment and try different things. I think with close reading short texts, it usually doesn't matter as much if a student has or has not completed the prior work. You let students know that that is going to be the day that this is happening,. And they can just launch in and im just read and analyze that text during that self contained day. That's kind of like a little sabatical from the self basing.
