I think it's correct that we collectively, the media broadly, Americans broadly, perhaps spend too little time thinking about what actually makes someone like this appeal to the public on the merits. I really don't understand the insistence on not debating something like him. Maybe there should be a debate between Mr. Kennedy and some prominent person who speaks on behalf of the scientific establishment. If you put in the time, you could easily debate him. What really is true is I think you can debate conspiracy theorists. There's a very hard thing to do because they're quite slippery and can always come up with another study that you can’t in real time debunk.
