Chin Shi Hang - The Man Who United Ancient China's Seven Warring States
Experts had known that chin era terracotta figures had existed in the region for years. However, those earlier discoveries had either been forgotten or purposely destroyed during mause dong's cultural revolution. In that period, all things pertaining to china's ancient past were deemed potentially seditious. The philosophy and heritage of ancient china was seen as incompatible with maoism and the ideology of the chinese communist party. So the yangs find was more of a rediscovery of the terra cotta army and the inauguration of a new era in chinese archaology.
