Algoritms and ais that are doing high frequency trading far faster than we can conceive, might all pile into the same thing at the same time. This could heighten contagion risks in an emergency. The global financial crisis probably was made worse by unwinding of trades by quant funds. i do worry that we've allowed a world where new systemic risks are hidden below the surface.
