I don't remember it being particularly awkward. For anyone, because some people we had eventually get in a group where they'd come over enough times for Shabbat, that it became normal with them or whatever. But I do remember times we had family over because well, mom's out of the family is really big. So it was always a big, we couldn't have it at the dining room table. We had like a furnished garage that we would like set up folding tables in and stuff to have everybody.
