The Equality Act Doesn't Just Include Sex, It Includes National Origin
"The problem with the Equality Act is how it redefines sex," he says. "It no longer roots it in an actual real definition of sex, whereas race is still race and national origin is still national origin." He adds that if someone misperceives the reality of whether you're black, so they discriminate on the basis of race, you can bring a claim even if you don't have any claim to being black. 'I'm just wondering what the implications of this are,' Obama tells CNN's John Berman.
