Benedict's Pontificate Is Very Much a Continuation and Of, of John Paul II
Benedict is very much, and I think consciously bringing forward all of the work done by John Paul II. He met each other at the Second Vatican Council and they immediately sort of perceived each other as kindred spirits. And so he brought Ratzinger to Rome within a year or two when he became pope. But everything that was being done, all of that work that they together had engaged in is now being brought forward during his pontificate.
