Radio Astronomy Is a Thing
In the sixties, a group at Princeton realized that we might be able to see early radiation. They dug back into old calculations from the forties and thought about this light from the early universe. It would be evidence that the universe was once hot and dense enough to generate this light. So let's go build a radio telescope so we can go and look for it.
