The Hard Part Is Where Do You Build These Specialized Roads?

The technology is hard, and it's taken a bunch of PhDs many years to solve the algorithms. The harder part is where are you going to build these dedicated roads in cities that already exist? We would never take away a pedestrian lane, a bike lane or a car lane, because good luck with those politics, right? People still use roads. And so we would never do that in the same way trains don't go where roads go. It actually turns out that while very, very difficult and very challenging, the more flexible you can be with your grade.
