A New Beginning for Me and My Daughter

The wife and i, we'll call her eve, began our new life together. Part of what had caused us to grow apart were Eve's long hours at work. We tried to learn about one another's dreams and interests. The phone calls started. I answered them. In the beginning, sylvia came across as repentant. Initially, she apologized for the way she'd acted. But things went downhill quickly after that. When eve was the one who picked up the phone, she'd hang up. After having gone through all these safety measures, the phone calls stopped. Even i immediately made drastic changes to our life styles. Any pattern we'd had in the past was stopped.
