The Legislative Leaders' Statement on Working Toward an Agreement on Historic Rent Protections

I was struck by this language the legislature was able to work toward an agreement. That sounds to me like there wasn't actually a firm full agreement on this list in the legislature. The idea that the governor has to be on board before the legislature passes it is, you know, strikes I think many as iffy. But yeah, I don't I have some confidence we were ready. We had the votes to pass this bill. Why from your your vantage point, why not pass it? You know, call call the bluff. Show the people of New York.
