The Importance of Tipping Drivers

Uber is finally allowing riders to do what they have long desired, which is tip their drivers. And honestly, I feel like my heart sank very deeply that day. When I get an Uber and I get out of the car, I don't even look at my phone. Usually for a couple of hours or two later, and then I see the opportunity to do the star rating and everything. Is that when it happens? Is it next time you look at your phone? So the driver could be long gone when you make this decision?
