Long term interest in the design of the internet has been focused on security at the packet transport layer. Border gateway protocol allows malicious parts of the internet to try to hyjack address blocks and take traffic that should be going to you and go to them instead. I'm deeply offended at all the abuse of the domain name systems. There are thousands of names registered every day, but clearly are only intended for fishing or scams. So a lot of the research that i'm doing right now is really trying to understand and basically figure how to mitigate some of thesea security challenges at the at the packet travel lair.
