The person who testified to the 84 searches realized afterwards that the software he used to analyze the computer was defective. He redesigned the software, ran the program again and realized that the search had happened just one single time - not 84 times. Now this guy called the lead detective to let him know about the error on June 25th. But they never corrected the record and did not alert the defense of this new found information as they were required to do.
