So here i have d, g, a, a, riht. It's all over a g major chord. And that's the melody, d, g,. a, a and b is held, which gives us another opportunity for some oblique movement underneath that held note. So instead of just going to a g six under the b, we can do some obliquemovement beneath it. I encourage you to go check out any of the standards that you already know, and see where these opportunities might lie.
