The Marxist Left's Criticism of Lockdowns

David Frum and Richard Seymour's new book, COVID, is a critique from the left. Some on the political left will even defend lockdowns in countries like Peru or Sierra Leone, they say. They claim that lockdown suspended capitalism for a few months so people can attend more important things such as health and safety. The author says this idea of 'suspension' shows how far we have to go before any understanding of modern capitalism exists at all.
