Is It a Dog's Language?

We want so much for the dogs to understand us that you have to be careful not to ascribe too much to their actual understanding. It's tricky though, for sure. But I think a lot of it comes down to language. So no other animal has language. And that makes it particularly difficult to understand their view of the world since they don't have words. They don't have an internal monologue going on. The challenge then is to demonstrate that it does.
