The Rules of the Lord Don't Matteter

Marie is close with her stepfatherand they can get along. But a week before her sixteenth birthday, everything changes when marie comes home early and finds her stepdaughtr frank, in funk, in bed with another woman. And so from that point on, marie buckin hated frank, and there was all this crazy tension in the house A so eventually she refuses to live with them, and she leaves home and goes to stay with her grandparents.
