Living in a Moral Paradigm
All types of reactionary thinking is completely out of bounds today. In the Academy, there's only progressives with a minority of conservatives. Even as something as objective science, there are entire practices like eugenics that once had incredible prestige around the world. And even on the internet, there's something that I colloquially call the Hitler effect, where if you watch how arguments online unfold, they'll just end when somebody compares something to Hitler. Once you do that, the debate is over.
