The Origins of the Human Jaw
In 1912, Dawson and the Geological Society that he revealed his discovery. They all agreed that this was the skull of someone who was alive 500,000 years ago. A long time. Half a million years ago. And then another group of people got involved. And they did some further testing. The biggest thing that the testing discovered is that the jaw had actually, like the teeth that were inside the jaw had been whittled down with a tool to make it look more human because it was probably an ape. But in 1949 proved that not only was this much younger, 50,000 years old, it was also, there's no more than 200,000 years away.
