Slender Man - Marble Hornets
Marble Hornets was easily one of the biggest Slender Man lore building machines of its time. In a nutshell it was this YouTube series that ran from June of 2009 to June of 2014 and there's all this lore that sprung up around it. The whole Marble Hornets thing still leaned more into the spookiness of Slender Man. People starting to call from Slender sickness and those other little bits that have really solidified themselves in the way that people think about what is considered established lore for Slender man.
