College is not an opte ecause thy can't afford it. Many people from first generation college backgrounds end up in remedial courses. If i'm telling you the majority who come in who can't read are not going to get itfor you degree in six or seven years, what else can we do for those students? And that's why programs like jobs for the future, i would say, are very important in America.
