Is This a Substantive Initiative or a Footnote in History?
The president announced the ipsindo pacific economic framework when he was in tokio. There were those who saw this as a pathway to trade agreements and therefore adamantly opposed to anything substantial being in it, especially market access. The fact that 12 countries signed on to it is a testament that these countries want us back in the region economically engaged. But of course, the problem is pretty darn bag.
