The government is framing this as you have these links on your websites and the news articles and now you have to pay because those links are on your website. The tech companies are pretty crafty with how they come up with ways to get people on their sides with the opposition to this, he says. It was a bit of an own goal in the government's part as well as a sort of a vile bullying by the tech companies. He adds: "There are no heroes here at the end of the day. I don't really like anybody"
