The Weighty Case for Eating Meat

Most of us draw a distinction between failing to help people where we could and causing them harm. But the case of animals is somewhat different in that if you buy meat, merely to experience the pleasant taste, you are contributing to a process that harms the animal. And so I would say we do have obligations to go out of our way to help starving people. And also to goout of our way for the sake of animals.
