The Anguish of Death in the Philippians Church
Philippians two a, 25 through 29. We know the first half of the chapter quite well in many cases. The latter half doesn't get much play in its because it's a rather more sort of mundane housekeeping stuff. And paul is talking about his friend apaphroditis, who had come and cared for him in rome, and then gotten very sick. He says at one point, you know, god spared me sorrow upon sorrow. Thankfully, i didn't lose my friend.
