Roy Plunkett created teflon by accident. He was trying to mix different chemicals in a cold environment. When he came to work next morning, the chemical had changed. Instead of being a liquid, it had turned into a white powder. Dr West says these failures teach us how to deal with our own failures. They can help us do better at our jobs and make us better people.
