The Differences Between the Letter Narratives
There is this kind of sense that this person can come back to the community and can be a productive member of that community again. Like, they're assuming that he can do that. In some cases, there's also, and this is where we kind of get into some really interesting differences between the letter narratives. So it's not a common thing in every letter for somebody who claims madness as a cause for having committed the crime.
