While in moscow, the delegates eagerly followed daily reports from the front lines of the polish soviet war. As the red army approached, warsaw it led them all to lieve that this new communist international might be on the verge of completely displacing the newly formed league of nations. Neither the french nor the british were enthused about all these border wars in eastern and central europe. And they were very put out by countries like poland, which were meant to be little more than grateful clients states of britain and france.
