How Long Did It Take You to Get Your Iron Levels Back Up?
Patrick O'Mara: I think every aflete needs time away to recharge those batteries so that you don't get mental low patches in the middle of a season. How often, how often, when we're in a rut, do you think it's physical, or predominantly mental? We develop these extremely ambitious racing schedules and should have an off season with no running - but maybe remove your primary form of exercise for our off season. From my experience, if the athlete is doing their regular blood work on a regular basis, we can see this problem. And i nowadays really like that three to four weeks at the end of a very busy year.
