Heaney's Translation of Grendel

Sheamus Heaney's version of Beowulf is still a popular translation. It reminds students that the poem is 'a poet's poem', says Laura Boulden. Before we sign off on Heaney, I thought it might be nice to hear him read the part where Grendel first appears. Here he reads: "I am bare wolf; I'm here to kill your monster" We've all been bringing our own translations and will share what they found.
