Is It a Jolt in the Ointment?
Jobless rate falls to 10.5 million, down from a peak of just under 12%. The market was looking for it to come off another 1 to 200,000,. Instead, you know, raised by half a million in one month. Inflation holding up in Europe as well. Unfortunately, the headline rate year and year has fallen in January from 9.2% to 8.5%. That's good but the core rate is not coming down at all.
