Early Christian Devotion to Jesus
Recent scholarship on early Christology has come to reject this. There is no evidence that Paul or any other Hellenistic Jews were generally less monotheistic than their Judean brethren, he says. Early examples of devotion to Jesus in the New Testament are as follows: Prayers directed to God through Christ, or directly to Jesus himself.
