Is the First Amendment a Guiding Principle for Us?

Before coming to heritage, you were a fellow for the technology and national security programme at the center for new american security. Was that comforting to get back into a place where people actually thought defense mattered and national interest mattered? i think these past few years have really borne that out. There's no better demo ation, really, of that than the new twitterso who basically said, the first amendment is not really a guiding principle for us. So in those terms, instead of just helping design products and tools and shipping them and iterating and designing and shipping again, i think that was really where my heart was.
