The Past Doesn't Equal the Future
The past definitely doesn't equal the future as we know with thoroughbreds their athletes in their own right and they have injuries. Two or three years later they re-emerge and recreate the form they created when they were three, now six and seven. I call it running above themselves but ultimately that's one of the things that you can pinpoint with the profiling horses. The horse is going to at some point run to his natural speed and if you can capture that it's going to give you a big advantage about how they're preparing themselves.
