The Battle of Okinawa
The difficulty at Okinawa is that the Japanese had lined the beaches with these sharpened stakes. All in an effort to stab the holes of our landing craft. So it's a big demolition mission. And we're no real underwater obstacles or coastal defenses were found. Okay now I had had all these stakes some had barbed wire topped with mines. So we had to deploy ahead, swim ashore and rig these to blow and draper oversaw that mission. And it was a success but for one sector, which didn't blow and he had to send team back the next day. That's motto is always let's overdo the explosives because we don't have to want to have to come back.
